Apple has updated its MacBook family notebook with the release of the new 13 inch MacBook and the new 15 inch MacBook Pro. Priced at $1,200 upwards, these new advanced notebooks feature all-metal enclosures that makes it durable, pro-performance notebook graphics, the bright and instant-on LED-backlit displays, and a glass Multi-Touch trackpad. Apple also claims that these new notebooks are their greenest notebooks that meets Energy Star 4.0, EPEAT Gold, and RoHS environmental standards. Apple’s new MacBook and MacBook Pro are powered by NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory, a built-in iSight camera, and Mini DisplayPort. Other features include 8x slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), a 160GB or a 250GB 5400-rpm Serial ATA hard disk drive, up to 4GB of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, and a 2.0GHz or 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 3MB on-chip shared L2 cache running 1:1 with processor speed (1066MHz front side bus).
